Pre-Prep Sponsored Walk 04.06.2021
The staff were not alone in their fundraising efforts just before Half term!
On the afternoon of Friday 28th May, the whole of Pre-Prep took to the main sports pitch to take part in their annual sponsored walk. This year, due to our Covid bubbles, the walk took place in 2 sections: Nursery and Reception years followed by Years 1 and 2.
The Pre-Prep School Council had chosen to support the charity Wave 105 Cash for Kids campaign which supports the children that need it most across the South. Wave 105 Cash for Kids is a grant-giving charity whose mission is to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people affected by illness, poverty and neglect. Combining their Cash for Kids day (held on 14th May) and their 5K a day challenge, the Pre-Prep walked 25 laps of the pitch which equals 5K! Archie the therapy dog enjoyed walking with Years 1 and 2.
The children were joined by the Pre-Prep staff and held their cards that got a tick, smiley face, even a love heart for every lap they completed! The sponsorship is being collected over Half term and we shall announce the total as soon as it has been counted! Well done to everyone who took part.. there were some tired legs at the end!
